At Yeronga Chiropractic & Wellness Centre, we want your first visit to be comfortable, informative, and hopefully the first step toward feeling significantly better. Here’s exactly what will happen.
Arrival and paperwork: Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment to complete a brief health history form. This covers your current complaint, past injuries, medical history, and general health — all essential context for your chiropractor. Bring your Medicare card, private health fund card, and any relevant scans or reports.
The consultation (30-45mins): Your chiropractor will begin with a detailed discussion of your main concern — when it started, what makes it better or worse, and how it affects your daily life. This is followed by a physical examination that typically includes posture analysis, range of motion testing, neurological screening, and specific orthopaedic tests relevant to your complaint. X-rays, or other investigations, may be recommended if clinically indicated. With your consent, we will proceed care if clinically appropriate. You need relief – why wait?
Your report of findings: At the end of your first appointment — or at a separate short follow-up — your chiropractor will explain their findings in plain language and present a personalised care plan. This will outline the recommended frequency and duration of care, realistic expected outcomes, and any home exercises or lifestyle advice. You are never pressured into more care than you need, and all decisions remain yours. Many patients leave their first appointment with a sense of clarity and relief — understanding what is causing their pain and what can be done about it.
